I am most proud of my leadership for students and faculty and ability to create an environment where all work together to develop critical thinking and communication skills necessary for successful licensure and employable healthcare clinician. Strong, successful leadership relies on the ability to establish mutual trust, inquisitive mindset, critical thinking, and communication, all of which I consistently portray.
I strongly value diversity and believe it is in our differences that we grow as people, educators, leaders, and clinicians in health care. I have lived overseas and seen the challenges and benefits of blending many beliefs in education. I have also treated patients of diverse cultures and am able to blend their beliefs and customs into a successful treatment plan. These beliefs and experiences are why I am a successful mentor, leader, and educator and will be an asset to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program and community while abiding by San Diego Mesa College vision of blending equity and excellence into educating students’ future.
I am excited for the opportunity to work with this prestigious college and program in the role of Program Director and look forward to hearing from the search committee soon.
